I changed duty stations from Goodfellow AFB to Tyndall AFB last July and the thing I miss most about San Angelo is definitely Jason’s Deli and Peasant Village.

I can’t find anything nearly as great as your cheesecake and jalepeno stuffed scallops here in Florida!

You were always very accommodating to special requests. I brought my mother with severe food allergies and Jason cooked her a wonderful meal customized to her needs, giving her a chance to actual eat out with the family. We’ll always be thankful.

I haven’t found a restaurant here even close in quality of food or customer service.

Keep doing what you do! I tell any friends that are traveling through west Texas that they need to stop by and have a meal.

Executive Chef Jason Helfer graduated from the University of Johnson and Wales, Charleston, South Carolina, and moved to Texas to open the restaurant with his father, “Pops” Art Helfer.
